Weekly Walks with Carol.

– The weather forecast for Tuesday 17th February is looking a little positive, so weather permitting we will be having our usual stroll around Ruislip Lido, leaving the Willow Lawn Car Park at 10.30 a.m. for a gentle 1 or 2 laps of the Lido followed by coffee and chat in the café.

Our next Pub Games will be on:
Thursday 12th March. A chance to play the games you normally find in your local boozer. The Bar (Vending Machine) will be open at the usual opening hours: (all day, every day).

Social Afternoons.

Friday Afternoons: 23rd January 2026
Our social afternoons go from strength to strength and are still as popular now as when we started a couple of years ago. Funny that although we try to introduce new games, the Mexican Train and Rummikub are still the most popular.

But there are always the Fabulous Four who really love their Krib.

The next date is for our social has been changed from the 20th February to the 27th February so please make sure you adjust your diaries. Look forward to seeing you all at our Pub Games on Thursday 29th January just before we take off for our Dorset trip on 2nd February.

Whist Special

INAUGURAL “RS WINNERS MOVE” TOURNAMENT

We have our first “RS Winners Move” whist tournament against Bessingby on Monday the 16th of February 2026 at 2.00pm. We need 12 players (6 tables) to represent Deane Park.

The sign-up sheet will be available on Monday 5th January 2026 at the normal whist afternoon. At the end of this session we will draw out who is playing and who are reserves.

There is no selection process whatever your ability or experience. Everyone on the list will be entered into the draw. We will be playing 8 hands before tea and 8 hands afterwards. There is no charge for entering this competition.

2026	Main Social Events
New Year's Eve Party	. Wednesday 31st December 2025 What a great night ! It is a pity that it is almost impossible to take some photos of the event but it is decorated to look like a disco with special lighting and candles so the pics come out almost black. But we had a ball. Ron and Dave excelled this year with our firework display (we wont mention a tiny mishap but luckily no one was in the line of fire). With John G on DJ duty we had a full dance floor. Massive celebrations at midnight with Sweet Caroline almost taking the roof off. You cannot beat a DP party. Organiser: Janet
Dorset Bowls Resort	. 2nd-6th February 2026 The Dorset Bowls resort offers 3 indoor rinks and excellent accommodation. We all had a great time. There are some photos in the photo gallery and you can read Janet's review of the week by clicking HERE Organiser: Janet
