Weekly Walks with Carol.

Hopefully any rain will have stopped by 10.00 a.m. on Tuesday, 20 January and we can have our usual one or two turns around Ruislip Lido.

Leaving the Willow Lawn Car Park at 10.30 a.m. and then enjoying a coffee/tea and chat in the café.

Thursday 29th January. Pub Games returns. A chance to play the games you normally find in your local boozer.

The Bar (Vending Machine) will be open at the usual opening hours (all day, every day).

This is always a popular event throughout the winter.

The Rummikub is always very popular along with the Mexican Domino Train. We are always looking for new games and recently introduced Yahzee but any suggestions to improve these afternoons would be welcome.

Whist Special

INAUGURAL “RS WINNERS MOVE” TOURNAMENT

We have our first “RS Winners Move” whist tournament against Bessingby on Monday the 16th of February 2026 at 2.00pm. We need 12 players (6 tables) to represent Deane Park.

The sign-up sheet will be available on Monday 5th January 2026 at the normal whist afternoon. At the end of this session we will draw out who is playing and who are reserves.

There is no selection process whatever your ability or experience. Everyone on the list will be entered into the draw. We will be playing 8 hands before tea and 8 hands afterwards. There is no charge for entering this competition.

2026	Main Social Events
New Year's Eve Party	. Wednesday 31st December 2025 What a great night ! It is a pity that it is almost impossible to take some photos of the event but it is decorated to look like a disco with special lighting and candles so the pics come out almost black. But we had a ball. Ron and Dave excelled this year with our firework display (we wont mention a tiny mishap but luckily no one was in the line of fire). With John G on DJ duty we had a full dance floor. Massive celebrations at midnight with Sweet Caroline almost taking the roof off. You cannot beat a DP party. Organiser: Janet
