Winter 2018/19 Social events:


 

Please contact Carol Lathwell for further information about the Stroller Walks.

Come and join us for a morning walk of up to 3 miles, with a coffee when we finish. Walks will take place, weather permitting and normally start at 10.00 or 10.30 a.m. See below for dates and venues:

Our next "Stroller Walk" will be: Wednesday, 2nd January at 10:30a.m. Meeting in the Hillingdon Residents car park at Ruislip Lido. Organiser: Carol

We are having Whist Drives on the following dates: Monday 7th January 2019.

Starting at 1.30pm.For a 2:00pm. start.

To book your place on the whist afternoons please put your names down on the list on the notice board or let Ray know, either by email or by phone. His contact details are in the "members" pages.



We will also be running Pub Superstars Competitions

This will include Shovehalfpenny, Carpet Bowls (not short mat), Dominoes, Indoor Skittles, and maybe other pub games.

These dates are Thursday 24th January 2019.

All events to be 1.30pm for start at 2.00pm - The cost will be £1 per person which includes Tea & Biscuits

Presentation to ORCHYD.

Friday 26th January 2018

Sandra, our treasurer presented a cheque for £1061.60 to Corrie, Rachel and Pete from local charity ORCHYD accompanied by our local councillors, Teji Barnes, Michael White and Edward Lavery.

Okehampton Trip

Monday 5th to Saturday 10th February 2018

Another week in Devon was enjoyed by 53 Okehampton Revellers (friends and families from Deane Park and Hazell's Bowls Club) in this our fourteenth year at the Ashbury Hotel.

Deane Park Bowls went to Torremolinos again in 2018, staying at the Don Pablo Hotel.

Another fabulous day at Deane Park with Ron Spark hosting his "Its a Knockout". Very well supported with 20 members attending.

Pétanque and Barbecue

Sunday 17th June 2018

It was definitely third time lucky today, as we had a game of Pétanque and it didn't rain. Very well supported with 30 members attending.

Day trip to Brighton

We enjoyed our day trip to Brighton, breakfast at Preston Park Bowls Club and then those who wanted to bowl did so, but the rest spent the day along the front.

Trip to Chatham Docks

Tuesday 4th September 2018

Ray organised a trip to Chatham Docks, with a tour of 'Call the Midwife" thrown in.

It was very much a day filled with nostalgia and seemed to spark of loads of memories.

Vet's Trophy

Thursday 6th September 2018

John Gibson and Ray Snook went today to collect the shield for Deane Park winning promotion to the 2nd Division in the Vets.

The presentation is done at Harrow Bowls Club so well done to all members that were involved in winning this trophy.

Once again Carol and Ron Spark organised the ever-popular trip to the Dorset Bowls Resort in November.

Indoor Bowling every day with great breakfasts and evening meals and lively evenings.

Ray arranged another wonderful short-break offer with his friends at Warners for this year.
